With more than 1,500 members and growing, the International Yacht Brokers Association (IYBA) is the world's largest and most influential association for the yacht brokerage and charter industry. Established in 1987 and formerly known as the Florida Yacht Brokers Association, IYBA is dedicated to professionalism and ethics in all aspects of yacht transactions.

IYBA was created to unite those engaged in the yacht brokerage business for the purpose of promoting professionalism and cooperation among its members and to promote and maintain a high standard of conduct in the transacting of the yacht brokerage business. An IYBA established code of ethics encourages best practices when engaging in transactions with other member brokers and consumer protection is the premise for its increased level of professionalism. In the event of a disagreement amongst member brokers, the Ethics Committee is equipped to resolve disputes. IYBA maintains a presence at important industry events with the goal of removing barriers to commerce and improving consumer protections. IYBA also sponsors charitable events and assists in disaster relief efforts.

The Miami Yacht Show, held yearly in Miami, is owned jointly by the International Yacht Brokers Association and Informa Markets U.S. Boat Shows. The show represents a significant cornerstone of achievement to IYBA and the yacht brokerage community.
