Recent Update: Exumas
Attention All Vessels still in the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park.
In compliance with the Government of The Bahamas Emergency Orders (2) that went into effect, 9 am this morning (March 24th), ALL public beaches and trails in the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park are now closed until further notice.
Our staff and wardens will continue to monitor VHF channels 09 and 16 and will continue to coordinate mooring and anchorage within the park, as best as possible. We are aware that many vessels still remain within the boundaries of the Exuma Park. As such our wardens will continue patrols to provide safety and security and will record the names of all vessels within the park. In order to protect our staff and the persons on vessels, we will eliminate the close interaction required for in-person fee collections. We expect everyone to honor our policies while within the park's boundaries. All vessels must continue to pay their respective users fees through our online payment system at www.payexumapark.org. If you do not have internet service while in the park to make your payments, please honor your payments due, once you have internet service.
As the rapidly developing COVID-19 situation evolves, the Bahamas National Trust and our staff will continue to closely monitor the situation and evaluate and adapt ECLSP operations accordingly.
Please do abide by all the rules and regulations of the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park.
Our actions are in direct response to the Government of The Bahamas’ warnings and recommended precautionary measures to minimize the spread of COVD19. We hope you stay safe and healthy.
Should you have any questions or need assistance, please contact us on VHF 09 or 16 and by telephone at 242-601-7438
Respectfully,
