FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Oct. 9, 2020) – With enhanced safety measures in place, The 61^st Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), taking place Oct. 28 – Nov. 1, will unveil more than 20 of the year’s most anticipated debuts, ranging from luxury yachts and motor yachts to sport fish, center consoles and express cruisers. This year’s line-up includes Overmarine Group’s Mangusta GranSport 33, Azimut’s Magellano 25 Metri, and the world debut of MonteCarlo Yachts 76 Skylounge, Viking Yachts’ 54 Convertible, Intrepid Yachts 409 Valor, Solace Boats 41CS Center Console, and three models by Ocean Alexander – the 27 Explorer, the 32 Legend and the 36 Legend, among others. The five-day, outdoor show showcases more world and U.S. debuts than any other boat show in the country.

Recognized as the pinnacle of all nautical exhibitions, FLIBS will also showcase more than 50 show stopping Superyachts, including the 180-foot Sovereign by Newcastle Shipyard (Worth Yachts), 118-foot Arthur’s Way by Millennium Super Yachts (Dennison Yachting), 101-foot La Dolce Vita by Hargrave (Atlantic Yacht & Ship), and Christensen’s 157-foot Top Five (Moran Yacht & Ship), to name a few. 

Owned by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) and produced by Informa Markets, FLIBS spans nearly 90 acres and features the largest display of boats and new models with hundreds of exhibitors across multiple outdoor sites. With over three million square-feet of exhibition space, the show is now accessible by 13 entrances and is increasing its six miles of floating docks to widths up to 30 feet along the face dock, allowing plenty of walking space for a smooth and safe traffic flow.

With Informa’s comprehensive AllSecure health and safety guidelines in place, FLIBS will follow the GBAC (Global Biorisk Advisory Council) standards for enhanced cleaning, including undergoing deep cleaning with disinfection each hour on all high touch points during show operating hours and after each day’s event. With nearly 90 acres and 85% of the show outdoors, upgraded air-filtration systems with HEPA filters will be installed in tented areas to thoroughly clean the air in under an hour before, during and after show hours. Exhibitors will also follow and implement the AllSecure safety standards. This year, the show will also be implementing a contactless ticketing system and conducting temperature checks upon entry. Face coverings will be required by all exhibitors and attendees and CDC signage will be posted throughout the show in all high traffic areas. With these new safety measures set in place, here is a list of what’s debuting at the 2020 show:

Mangusta GranSport 33 | Overmarine Group

The Mangusta GranSport line combines style and technical solutions, sporty features and comfort, outstanding performances and maximum efficiency. These yachts deliver long range at cruising speed as well as very high-speed performances, always ensuring maximum onboard comfort. This is a key feature making this line truly versatile. Magellano 25 Metri | Azimut

Azimut Yachts presents Magellano 25 Metri, a yacht created in partnership with the internationally renowned artist and architect Vincenzo De Cotiis, who brings his unmistakable signature style to the interiors, while Ken Freivokh is behind the timeless elegance of the chic and sophisticated exterior lines.The yacht also makes extensive use of carbon fiber and draws on the latest technological developments, including an active air sanitizing system based on a NASA patent and the Hotel Mode option that guarantees prolonged stops at anchor at zero emission. Furthermore, to offer long-range cruising in the utmost comfort and safety, even in rough seas, Magellano 25 has been designed with a special fuel-efficient Dual Mode hull.

27 Explorer | Ocean Alexander

The 27 meter Explorer (27E) is the initial debut for the new Explorer Series. Expanding on the incredible success of the Revolution series and participating in focus group discussion to the needs of our owners and the market, the new Explorer takes the incredible interior volume and accommodations Ocean Alexander is renowned for and elevates it with impressive exterior amenities. The extended aft deck offers an incredible 225 squared-feet which provides the owner and their guests with incredible exterior lounge space as well as storage for a multitude of water sports, exploration gear, tenders and PWC’s.

32 Legend | Ocean Alexander

The 32 meter Legend (32L) is the newest model of the Legend Series from Ocean Alexander. With over 40 years of production expertise in this class, the 32L is our pinnacle achievement. The popular Ocean Alexander 100 motor yacht first debuted in 2014 and nearly twenty units were delivered in just six years! The new 32L retains the more traditional lines and bow shape loved by many owners with styling updates and incredible new innovation from Evan K. Marshall. The alluring integration of more expansive glass, while lowering the bulwarks have allowed even more natural light into the spacious and comfortable salon. Further, the on-deck master suite has been enhanced with a more practical space configuration. This along with optional interiors from our Manhattan and Cosmopolitan concept portfolio creates interior architecture and design to meet any style.

36 Legend | Ocean Alexander

The 36 meter Legend (36L) debuts this fall as the highly anticipated flagship to the stunning Ocean Alexander Legend series. Hull no.1 of this beautifully interpreted model was a custom-ordered yacht for an existing OA owner and is undergoing final commissioning for delivery at the time of this release. Hullnumber2 will be the formal debut of this elegant masterpiece and offers a five-stateroom layout in a tri-deck design featuring multiple private outdoor entertaining areas, luxurious and spacious accommodations, and a generous beach club with an oversize waterline sports platform for enjoying your favorite mooring at water level.

MCY 76 SkyLounge | MonteCarlo Yachts

Monte Carlo Yachts launched the second model of its Collection, the new MCY 76 Skylounge. The latest MCY creation triggers authentic elegance and timeless feelings, which can now be experienced on another level. The MCY Skylounge Collection represents a totally new and different way of experiencing life onboard. Conceived for those who love to cruise in comfort all year round, it meets different needs featuring a wide additional volume offered by the enclosed Flybridge, without sacrificing the multiple exterior areas. Such concept has been designed and manufactured by an Italian shipyard for the first time.

42 GLS | Cruisers Yachts

Cruisers Yachts has released the GLS series to accompany their already widely popular Cantius line. The 38 GLS debuted June 2019 and now its sister, the 42 GLS, will be making its worldwide debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show this year. The 42 GLS is a perfect hybrid of everything you want in a boat. The 30 ft boating enthusiasts are looking for a bow rider with fast outboard propulsion that is fun for the whole family. PRJ CAT40 | PRJ Boats

The PRJ 40 Power Catamaran is uniquely designed and equipped to satisfy the needs of the owners, guests and crew of cruising super yachts. The PRJ 40 has all the features you find in the modern Center Console so often used as a tender with the additional features like the forward loading ramp, which provides a safe and convenient way to board, and disembark from the dock, beach and the super yacht, for owner, guests, and crew.
